Timing vs. Force out

r3 & r1 1 out. Fly ball caught by lf. r3 legally tags up and scores. r1 keeps running and is doubled up at 1st.

Run scores correct? I can't find it in the rule book. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Correct... as long as R3 touched the plate before R1 was put out. NFHS Casebook 9.1.1 SITUATION B

Gettting doubled off first is NOT a force - it is an appeal. Therefore the "no run on a force" is not in effect.
