Finally saw one...

I finally saw the Reebok Vector O today:

Yes, those are holes above the handle.

Anybody know the latest from the FED braintrust about this bat? I've read that it was ruled illegal, FED got sued, so it's legal, or will be till 2012 when the new BBCOR standard goes into place, blah blah.

What's the latest? Different takes in different states?

Why would it be illegal if it has the BESR decal?

Is that the only test? Lots of ways to be illegal.

The one I have in mind is the "smooth round cylinder" clause.

That's correct. Generally legal in FED. (States are free to have different rules here). Not legal in NCAA.

It is legal now but unless things change, it will be illegal in 2012. That's what our State guy told us.

I've seen no bats with the BBCOR stamp, so everything will be illegal in 2012.

I was presuming that this was a new bat.

I wasn't in the mood to pick nits at the time.

I believe the Aluminum Vectors are legal in NCAA, the the Composites are not.

Legal this year and next. Illegal in 2012.
