second base
Situation: Runners on 1st and 3rd, pitcher is in the stretch. The pitcher starts his motion, does not ever look at first, before he delivers the pitch, the runner from 1st in standing on 2nd base and the batter fouls the pitch. Does the runner go back to 1st or 2nd?

mbyron,
Apparently not. Oo, Unless the runner had touched 2B before the pitcher initiated his pitching motion, he goes back to 1B. JM |
Either a very fast runner or the slowest pitcher in the world.... Back to 1st...
