Plate coat for sale

I have a Fechheimer size 48 navy coat I would like to sell. The coat was made in 1997, but that just means it was made back when plate coats were made well. It hung unworn for quite a few seasons when I had gained weight and couldn't wear it. I wore it 4-5 times this season, but now it's too big and someone else should get the next 10 years' use out of it.

It's in very good condition. If you're still wearing navy, it's a great cold weather option on the plate.

$100 including shipping or best offer. Thanks to JR12 for buying my black coat.

The best thing to do to keep the weight off is to get rid of the big stuff. Nice job. And I wish I could use it, but there are very few chances to wear it here.

Just got it and tried it on. Nice coat. Can't wait for next spring. Already have a navy blue one. Thanks Rich!

How big is it shoulder to shoulder? This might be just what I'm looking for for the high school season.

I've already sold it to an umpire in Massachusetts. It was used there from 2000-2002 when I lived there, BTW.

Great. Glad it's there and will work for you.

I'm starting to consider whether to buy a new one for next season. Thing is, I quit working college ball so I'd have even less opportunity to wear one. And HS here may *never* allow black the way it's going.

These days I'm more of a ColdGear and long sleeve shirt guy.

Maybe if I see a 42/44 for sale in the spring I'll consider a used one.

Nope, both long gone. Matter of fact, I clicked on the thread hoping someone else was selling theirs and I was a bit surprised to see me as the OP.

I think I'll do without this season. I've gone more to long sleeved shirts and ColdGear anyway.
