Int and Intervening Play

I noticed a difference in the JEA and the MLBUM...

JEA states that on an intervening play the run will count, but makes no mention of the number of outs. MLBUM clarifies stating that with 2 out and there's an intervening play at home plate where the runner is safe, then B/R is called out for runner's lane interference, the run will count w/ less than 2 out, and not count with 2 out.

Does Evans clarify that statement in the JEA or is that a clarification in the rules that took place in the MLBUM after JEA was published?

Thanks.

I think Evans is just assuming less than 2 outs. A run can never score when BR makes the third out before reaching first, and I'm pretty sure Evans knows that. ;)

Agree...I don't think I said that he was wrong...just wondering if the point was clarified anywhere else? You're probably right...he probably simply assumed that.
