Davishins

I bought the new Davishins last week and I like them alot, but I noticed that they slip around when I run. I saw that Under Armour is starting to put little rubber "dots" on some of their shirts to help prevent shoulder pads from slippin' around. That gave me an idea. I went to Home Depot and bought a product called Plasti-dip. It is a rubber dip you put your hand tool handles in. I put some Plasti-dip into an applicator bottle with a small opening and I put "dots" on the inside of my shins. I am tryin them out tomorrow. I'll let you know if it helps.

I have the same shinguards. I've never had a problem with slippage. I have the 18" ones.

You're a creative dude, Chris. If the market were bigger, you could make some money with that idea.

Well, let's wait until he actually uses them before we decide to sell it!!!

Since when does a product have to have utility or actually work in order to sell it? :)

It helped the slipping somewhat. It is an improvement...

Next up: plate umpires using this on their cups.

:D

I had the opposite problem

Those damn rubber-edged cups would chaf my sensitive parts through the jock pouch and then ruin the elastic bands on the jock when I tried to remove the cup after the game. The solution? I cut the jock pouch off the old jock and placed the cup inside. Then I inserted this into the pouch of the new jock. No more problems either wearing the cup or removing the cup afterwards. In fact this new experience proved to me that those who state they find wearing the cup uncomfortable probably haven't worn the cup in this manner. I no longer feel their pain. :o

Slipping Shins

This looks like a great idea and could have a lot of other applications. What did you use as the "applicator bottle"?

I have these same guards in the shorter size and have worn since June. I have not noticed any slipping or movement when I run. The difference may be that I wear them with UA heat gear leggings. Another difference may be, that I wear them "pretty tight". Certainly tighter than I used to wear the black West Vest professional guards.

I did have a problem with the previous model Davis guards moving and rotating while being worn, but not with this newer model as they wrap around the leg.

My 2 cents.!! Others opinions and experiences will certainly vary.
