Splain Int at 2B to me

Top 8, game 2 WS, R1 no where near 2B tries to take out Jeter who completes the DP and gets the U2 off the hook for no call, although it appears to me that U1 might have got him off the hook with the out at 1B. What do you have to do at 2B to get called for INT, tackle the guy? Are they counting on Jeter to get them off the hook?

I noticed on the replay how far the runner chased the pivot man to break up the DP. Seems like it's allowed as long as the runner doesn't slash or kick...and then the lower level players and coaches gripe when WE don't allow this type of slide...

Well ...

I could be way wrong here, but I think at this point in the season they are gonna let the two best teams play the game on the field. We may have noticed it, but don't think anyone else in the world did. Just a thought!

So, you ain't gonna call balks, BI, OBS, and what else? BTW, McIdiot pointed out to the world that the BR was safe on that play. Thank God for Karma.
Oops, edited to add that maybe even me would not call some balks in some games.

Yes, he did. They shined the ugly light of truth once again. So? I thought the runner was safe in live action, but I thought I had miscalled it. Turned out I was right after all. I like it when they show mistakes.

I don't mind them showing mistakes, I do mind it when the media makes them out to be horrible blown calls when in actuality if the play happens 100 times you probably get close to 50 calls either way.

Players and coaches get it, fanboys don't, and it makes our job at the amateur level harder.

I was thinking the same thing in the replay last night (esp the 1B camera pointing at 2B)...he was way out there and I don't think it came close to the base.
