I fixed the link....what was wrong with the Braun call? Banger at 1B, cry baby slams his helmet and gets dumped.

I watched the Phillies and the Mets archive of this.

I do not recall ever seeing a huddle on a catch/no-catch and an reversal. Drake was right there where he belonged. Who would have had a better view than him?

I didnt have a problem with the Milwaukee/Washington call Braun deserved to be dumped... and my bad... the boxscore says that Wegner dumped Charlie, but lookin at the video it was Drake... somebody shut that announcer up saying the umpiring has been atrocious... shut the f--- up!!

The RF nearly shoved his glove in Drakes face when he was arguing. Drake, probably realizing he was straightlined and didn't get the view he wanted, let him get away with it. Many, many more experienced ML umps would have dumped the RF, thus SA's comment referring to Drakes reaction not tipping off what was going on.

Drake appeared straightlined.

Ahhhhh, I thought he was talking about a glove in his face while making the call-which did not make sense. Now, I get it.

Looks like Drake didn't read a "trouble ball" off the bat. It seems as if Drake just did a pivot and looked at the play. I think if he (Drake) had hustled a little more to get a better angle, he might have had a better shot at seeing the catch. Just my $0.02

In his defense, I believe he was attempting to work a game without sunglasses on his hat.

C. Manuel : "If you don't change that call back, you're gonna have to run me!!"
R. Drake : "OK... bye bye....."
