Mets ejection

Calls are so much easier from the comfort of a booth after seeing 5 different angles of the same play. Wagner unfortunately, from what I could tell from the video, was screened by Rollins trying to make the tag. Don't know what he saw, but it wasn't a tag.

First, they need to lose the silly looking pharmacist smocks. They're just stupid.
Now, would the umpire have gone to U1 for a different view, if asked nicely? I mean he had to guess on the tag because of his position. Not a bad position, but it was just a goofy tag. Sometimes C doesn't see everything. I'll bet U1 saw that gap. So if U2 refuses to get help, the manager HAS to get himself run. No choice. |
Not a day goes by without both an ejection thread, and a kylejt smock post.

You can rely on me, Brian.

The man's right about the smocks. When the man's right, he's right.

Why didn't he move?
Plate umpires often move to get a better view of a play-I know I do that.
In MLB and everything below, do you notice more of a feet nailed to the ground approach at other bases? I am not saying he had that chance for sure here, but do we tend to get stuck in one place and take whatever view that we have? It seems like I do that sometimes. |
