Reliford got got injured

Baseball Video Highlights & Clips | KC@TB: Home-plate umpire Reliford leaves the game - Video | MLB.com: Multimedia

There is not a clip of his injury. I admire him staying in while the other umpire got his gear on. No way could I have done that.

Now that I see why he had to leave, my hat is off to him for staying as long as he did. That is one of the most painful injuries I have ever had and to keep squatting is a testament to his toughness. I want to hear people try to say that these guys aren't athletes now.

Retired Dan Morrison and Terry Craft were originally. Hallion is a transplant from New York. Wonder if any of these gentlemen that have been mentioned so far are Kentucky Colonels.

Sam Holbrook

Sam Holbrook worked our HS baseball umpire clinic a couple years ago. He was very good too. Class ump.

He was about the best teacher at the major league camp in Southern California a few years back. Seems like a good guy.
