Those Ump Guys....taken it on the road!
|
The funniest response to this story is:
" I'd rather watch some douche with a popped collar waving at the camera while talking into his bluetooth." Ditto. I hope the guys in the right field bleachers in Yankee Stadium drop these idiots like a bad habit. They'd better be wearing cup if they try that stupidity anywhere near Section 203. |
|
I found just one thing to disagree with in the article: "Their appeal is undeniable."
Is their 15 minutes up yet? |
This is what I think about that!
Just my opinion though. Thanks |
I have these people at a lot of my games...they're called "fans" and sometimes "coaches"....EVERYBODY'S an umpire!

Instead of going to mlb.com and actually finding the rules, the journalist here decides to use Wikipedia as a reference. |
I saw them on TV over the weekend. Couldnt stop laughing.
|
From the article...
"For the entire game, Williams and Farrell mimic the calls of the umpires, raising their arms and bellowing out strike calls, sticking up their fingers to let fans behind them know the count and brushing one hand over the other emphatically to signal foul tips." The one time I caught their act on TV, they were giving the foul tip signal on balls fouled straight back to the screen. Freakin' Smitties... |
You gotta' love the Weekly Dish. She's pretty sweet.
