This is robet's cousin and I want to know what the positions are A B C without asking him and feeling stupid.

Someone please correct me if this is wrong, I am about to do my first 2-man game on the bases in years. It's been a while:
A: 10-15 feet up first base foul line (beyond 1st base). B: On the first base side of the pitcher's mound, halfway between the pitcher's plate and second base. C: On the third base side of the pitcher's mound, halfway between the pitcher's plate and second base. I think B and C are close to correct... I have a feeling that once I get out there, I will remember where to stand, but have some difficulty writing out the location in words. Anyone, please help to complete/correct this. |

Yeah, that'll work. ;) ...As long as it's a Big Diamond. mick |

Then,
A - same,
B - A couple steps behind and a couple/few to one side of F4,
C - A couple steps behind and a couple/few to one side of F6. If F4 or F6 are in an odd position where you start to be uncomfortable to be able to cover the next play, adjust your position to your liking. mick [Edited by mick on Jul 5th, 2002 at 12:37 PM] |

D - behind 3rd base with more than two umps. Maybe there are more like with 4 to 6 umps, but I dunno if there are the letter thingys. Maybe with four umps they say take a base, but not a "letter position". Or they may say, "You got right field." :) mick |
