Infield Fly to DBT
Fed Rules: Runners on 1st and 2nd, one out. Pop fly behind first. "Infield fly, if fair" is called. Ball lands, untouched, in fair territory then bounces, untouched, into foul territory (beyond 1st base) and continues to roll into dead ball territory.
Make the call and correctly place the runners. thanks! |
R2: Awarded HP
R1: Awarded 3B (both on GRD) B/R: OUT on IFF My understanding is the out is effective the moment you call IFF. |

:D So the next question is (given the place's name) Do they only serve chickens that were crazy (and how would they know) or are they serving chicken in a crazy way? |

Since the chicken's in DBT on top of the dugout <back to the OP>, he would get 2 bases?
|
The infield fly is nullified it it's a foul ball. Umpire's should actually say "infield fly if fair" especially if there is a question that it will be foul.

For the record, El Pollo Loco serves the most delicious, marinated, flame broiled chicken that you could ever imagine. Those of you who have never had the pleasure of such fare have been truly deprived.

Friday night I was working a game on the opposite side of town from where I usually umpire, and afterward I was looking around for a place to eat. What do I see but an El Pollo Loco! Having just read this thread, I decide I'm going to try it since it comes highly recommended by Steve and others. I pull in.
Then I see the sign: "Coming Soon.":( Unfortunately this is a part of town I don't get over to very much. But if it's that good, I could make a special trip. There is a nice movie theater over there, so I could use that as an excuse...;) |
