It's official - Chris Guccione promoted
Congratulations to Chris Guccione for his promotion to the full time staff!
MLB.COM 04/06/2009 5:23 PM ET Guccione appointed to the Major League Umpiring Staff Major League Baseball announced today that Chris Guccione has been promoted to the full-time Major League Umpiring staff. Guccione has 14 years of professional umpiring experience, having worked in the Pioneer League (Rookie), the Midwest League (Class A), the California League (Class A), the Texas League (Double-A) and the Pacific Coast League (Triple-A). The 34-year-old native of Colorado has worked Major League Spring Training and has been a call-up umpire at the Major League level since the 2000 season.
