We get a book every other year (just changed from every year) No test for baseball. Online test for Football and basketball.

No test for the sport with the most complex and "interpretive" rules of the three sports. Incredible.

In those years you do not get a rule book, do you get inserts or some other written notification of chages made in the rules?

My first year here in Louisiana but, this year we went on line and took the test from NFHS site. I actually thought it was quite straight forward with the book and case book. The one I got wrong was one of those "duh, what did you mark that answer for " questions..

Anyway, I remember reading that question a couple of time and wondering why no run would score, then "duh" I realized it was R3 that didn't tag up. As Bob already pointed out and as just recently discussed in another thread the correct reference has to do with a "preceeding runner making the third out".
