If any have been sold, they were sold by private previous owners, not the authors or publishers. They are not cutting deals on Ebay. How far are you willing to stretch reality and ignore common business practice to attempt to prove an invaild point?

I was given mine free by an ML umpire who is an acquaintance. Why is that important to you? Neither what you or I or anyone pays for the MLBUM has any bearing on where Evans should sell his works or what OC should offer.

Thank you for pointing out my error. While I will concede that someone is selling their J/R (not for 9.99 as alleged), this does nothing to address the point I was making. But thanks again.

I was challenging the inference that JEA and J/R material was available by their authors/publishers for 9.99 on Ebay. The results of my accidental misspelling did not dispute that point. Is that clearer?

Even though the "dirt area" was included in the D3K senarios, it has no place in determining when a runner can correct his non-touch of home. The protest would/should be upheld if one should arise. We cannot make up arbitrary rules for which there is no support.

ok here is the answer...

In (a), R2 is not out and the run counts. F2 would have had to tag him for the appeal. In (b), it is an appeal play and R2 is out since he left the plate area heading for the dugout. The runner has to make an Immediate effort to return, of course this is a judgment call.

The dirt circle is in the interpretation from the NCAA Study Guide.
The JEA discusses the same point (relaxed/unrelaxed).
Non-touch implied R2 was inside the circle, and missed plate implied he had left the vicinity.
It is a step and a reach if we can't discuss these finer points within the rules or rule differences?

My statement was made prior to any bids, $9.99.
I would like to add MLBUM to my original statement.
The challenge that you saw it later at a higher price is denied.
The stipulation about the authors and included as if I had made the implication is also denied.

The dirt circle has nothing to do with the play you are referring to. The dirt circle only comes into play on a dropped third strike in an OBR game. The play in question has already been discussed.
