Diamond Titanium? Mask
 

Hey all,

Has anyone heard anything about this Diamond iX3 Silver Titanium Face Mask? Is it just the color, or as much "titanium" as the Wilson?

I have seen it in person. A guy had one at the International Umpires Camp. He had already replaced the wimpy cloth pads it comes with and put some Wilson Doeskin tan wraparound ones it. It looked much shinier than my Wilson New View Titanium and the bars were a slight bit wider and kind of oval in shape. There were obviously visible weld marks where the vertical and horizontal bars met. It was light. He liked it. I did not like the look of tan pads with this silver mask but that is just my personal preference. The metal looked like aircraft grade aluminum.

Here is another site that carries this mask and they advertise a different weight and do not call it titanium.

Titanium look is probably more accurate.

From what I understood from the ump-attire.com blog. This statement from MajorDave is correct. It's the diamond/schutt, but just silver
