MLB Pulications Question
Anybody know where I can get copies of MLB Rules IN SPANISH? I've got a buddy in Venezuela and he's looking.
I found PBUC in Spanish to send him (Jim Evans site), but a rule book is another story. Help! And thanks in advance... JJ |
I did more research and discovered there are no "official" MLB Rules books in Spanish, and there are none available for sale anywhere in this country - or anywhere else I could find.
My buddy will just have to go with the PBUC to help "explain" the rules he struggles with in translation! JJ |
I found a website with the rules in Spanish. I just typed "Reglas de beisbol" in the search engine and found this at the top:
http://usuarios.lycos.es/FGBS/reglamento_de_beisbol.htm |
Thanks, Steve. I typed "Regalos de beisbol" in google - I guess spelling counts, huh?
Fortunately, he can check out this site. Unfortunately, he can't just buy a copy in rule book form like we can. Of course, he could print it all out. But I also wonder how up to date this copy is - after years of virtually no changes to the rules, there were a few in '08. I'll pass it along to him anyway, and also mail him an English version - JJ |
JJ,
Yes, you were looking for "baseball gifts." :D The rules are the older version. I went straight to rule 8.04 and it lists 20 seconds for the pitcher to pitch, which of course is the old rule. |
I always knew it would help to have a Spanish major on board.;)

You naughty boy! :)

And I can't believe I forgot my first major, a two-year stint as a Business Major when I got out of the army. Guess I've finally blocked it out successfully!
