Another fun Minor League Blowup

I believe suspended 4 games. Good job by base umpire. Not sure what league this was. Anything to put fannies in the seats!

Just once I'd like to see an umpire laugh at clowns like this. I know it's show business at the professional level, and everyone has a part to play, but it would be hilarious to bust up in his face.

I think he might have been implying that the call "stinked."

The manager is Kash Beauchamp of the Wichita Wingnuts. They play in the North Division of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball.

Once I totally defused a famous local HS coach who was out arguing with me at 2nd base. He was right up in my face and the veins in his neck were popping out. He was giving me "what for" for about 30 seconds when I said to him, "Jeez John, you could really use a Certs!"

He suddenly stopped his harangue and looked at me for a few seconds like he couldn't believe I said that, then he kind of grinned in an embarrassed manner and turned around and ran back to the dugout.

BTW, his breath could have knocked buzzards off a sh!twagon!!

for your reading pleasure...taken from a report of mine last season:

After being ejected Moore came sprinting out of the dugout toward my position near home plate. As he was approaching me he yelled, "You're throwing me out of the game for that?" I responded, "You're damn right I am." Moore passed by me and went directly to home plate where he bent down and began vigorously brushing the dirt behind the plate and saying, "You've been down here all night. That's too low! All night you've been too low." After a few seconds of this he stood up and started toward me. I calmly said to him, "Thanks for the show, Brandon." After contemplating that for a second he yelled at me, "You're welcome!" He then left the field.

my favorite part of this incident (which i didn't find out until i ran into him after the game on the way to our van) is that he actually hurt his shoulder while putting on the display. :)

Steve,

You could say the sky was blue and there'd be some people who'd find reason to argue.

Well Steve, what I do is make sure the home team has a bus parked behind the field, just in case
