Most players and coaches can handle a few bad calls but what makes them really mad is when the ump makes bad calls because hes lazy and doesnt run down to first, third, or towards second.Thats when the ump looses respect and credibility. Bad calls happen all the time but we can minimize mistakes by hustling and staying focused during the whole game.

I have no problem with that.

No disagreement with that here.

Totally agree with you. We as umpires should be working from start to finish. No EXCUSES for not hustling and doing a proper job.

I agree, and when umps are lazy, they usually do not care. so coaches have a gripe. Some coaches still will badger the good ones, because they get so many poor ones they do not know the difference. Coaches and players have to realize that they make a lot of mistakes too. Wouldn't it be nice if we could heckle them when they do? Coach sends a runner from thired to score and he is dead as nails, we say " that was the stupidest move I've seen this year, no other coach would do that." Player boots a grounder, "You stink, your horrible, this is ridiculous."
