Run score?

Runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs. Batter hits the ball to the second baseman who stands in the baseline to tag out the runner. Runner stops and before the second baseman tags him out, runner from third crosses the plate. Does the run score? It was not a force, and the runner crossed before third out. Thanks in adance.

No run, runner was tagged in a force play situation.

It is still considered a force situation, regardless of whether the base or runner is tagged, as the force has not yet been removed. As long as the runner is still forced to advance due to the batter becoming a runner, then either the base or he may be tagged, and if two are out, no runs can score on the play.

How is this not a force  The runner does not score. The runner at first is being forced to advance by the BR.

For some reason I'm hearing a lot of this lately. Must be something in the coachs' water!

They must be sitting on the water bucket and not the ball bucket.
