Pitching rest
Have an issue I'd like to clarify. Jimmy throws 41 pitches in a LL Junior game on Monday. He has a non-LL game on Thursday and a LL game on Saturday. Is Jimmy allowed to pitch on Saturday?
Thanks |
If you are the type of person that does not care about Jimmy, then pitch him on Saturday.
The rule is there to protect the player, not for some "coach" to figure out how to get around it. |
If you care only about winning, then pitch him. If you care about player safety, and don't want to see him unable to throw for the rest of his life, then I would advise not trying to bend the rule.

If you are the type of person that wants the right answer, ask on a Little League board.

He has to skip the next played game, that he participates in, that his Little League team plays.
And it probably can't be a forfeited game, nor one that goes less than five innings. |
LOL, sorry to disappoint those of you who jump to conclusions but I'm not the coach nor am I the dad of said "Jimmy". Thanks to Rich for providing a simple answer to a simple question.

The game off is not an arm safety issue, but one of participation. The theory is get more kids the opportunity to pitch. After a complete season using, it has worked in my league.
