Coach

Last Thursday the coach at Camden - Frontier HS in Soutern Michigan was hit in the head with a line drive while pitching BP. Report was he was put into an induced coma over the weekend, but was awake and alert as of this afternoon. Prayers for a speedy recovery. Although it was practice, will we see coaches wearing helmets next season?

I predict all participants on the field will be required to wear helmets within the next 2 years.

Well, at least this would kill the "check me out, I'm cool cuz my hat is crooked" idiocy that seems to be seeping onto the field.

Don, no more cooler than having a big wad of tobacco in your cheek, but a lot healther.

Their kids Don, just kids.

Think about all the things you did to "be cool" when you were young.

Maybe everyone should where cups as well. Moral bad things happen to good people everyday. If we all stopped driving cars there would be no accidents you could go on and on.................

Since when did common sense factor into the decision making process?

Just a quick update. I was at Camden today on the bases. I talk to the assistant coach before the game. The head coach is slowly improving. He remembers everything that happened and recognizes people. He has a blood clot that they are trying to treat without surgery. Right now they are saying he will be out of work for at least six months. By the way he WAS using an L-screen. He stumble a little and could not pull his head back before the ball hit him. Witnesses say a one in a million shot.
