Hello everyone. Glad to be part of this forum. I hope to learn more than enough. After testing at the end of this month March for High School level, I will be legally officiating baseball. I do have some equipment. Of course I am shopping for the best deals. Does anyone have any input of places that are cost competitive in apparrel and equipment? My email address is electchase@aol.com

Thank you

Try this:

In addition, there are places that specialize specifically in your state's uniforms. For that info ask at your next HS association meeting.

Example; I'm from NY State and there are certain companies that put the NY State patch on both the Shirt (Navy Blue Cliff Kein) and Jacket that we are required to wear, so it makes life easier to order from them concerning equipment specific to a state.

Honig's Whistle Stop (www.honigs.com) is also good. However, these are full-price, quality goods--it's very hard to find "great deals" on umpire equipment.

We have stores in Illinois called "Play It Again Sports", which are second-hand sports stores. You might find some used stuff there. You might also ask some experienced guys in your area if they have anything hanging in their closet they might part with at a reduced price. I have pants that USED to fit! Oh, pass me another Twinkie...
