Properly trained softball umpires wouldn't look or act like these guys and would have some notion of the concept of "game management".

Having officiated 11 sports including all variations of softball, I have found that hardball umpires who look down their noses at softball (or any other) fellow officials do so for one reason only.

Their own lack of self-esteem.

If you have to "lower" another to grant yourself a higher throne, then you have defined yourself not by your positive actions but only by your selfish acts of demeaning others.

Then post some video of "real" games handles by "real" umpires.

There's plenty of examples of horse-**** umpiring in horse-**** / beer leagues -- every Tom, Dick and Harry has a video camera and a You Tube account. IMO, we don't need a link to everyone of these examples.

Tough to argue with that point.

I would never work beer league softball. What you see in this video is as close to umpiring as Perry Mason is to a real lawyer. They are trying to act like umpires in a game where men are trying to act like ball players.

If I were forced to work a game like this I would probably have 6 ejections before the end of the first inning.

This is a good example of why I refuse to work men's softball leagues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
