What Happened Mr. Kaufman?

Strangest thing...

After it was discovered and posted in a thread that you, back in November, said that you were enrolled in this year's Academy and had paid a deposit, and then on December 18, said that you couldn't get in to the Academy this year because Jim had just closed enrollment, that thread mysteriously disappeared.

Of course, since the thread containing your inconsistencies was started by you, you had the ability to delete it.

In light of how you present yourself as an insider I think your credbility is a relevant issue.

Care to explain?

Give it up, Garth. If he was going to man-up about his lying, he'd have done that instead of deleting the thread.

It will be remembered without a thread asking for an explanation that will not be forthcoming.

Even with all the boneheaded posts I've made which have totally embarrassed me, I have never gone back and just deleted a thread or the post in order to cover them up. I let the chips fall where they may. Anyone can access all the stupid things I've said.

me too.

Hehehe,

I have been called "a notorious thread deleter."

I delete threads I start all the time for two reasons:

1) When they get too far afield from the OP and we are going nowhere and,

2) "My Thread" becomes an environment where people are just attacking each other rather than anything else.

I do not remember deleting a thread simply because I had made myself look stupid. Those threads are still around.

We have, IMHO, a few people that are over sensitive, a few that are overly aggressive and one who is just plains nuts.

I really dislike liars most of all.

Regards

The only thing worse than a liar is a thief as well as a liar.

Ironic. Because on one occasion you made a thread listing something along the lines of "2007 All Star Umpire's Crew". You then listed a few posters for this crew, with the intent of piling on. When I turned the tables and put you on the spot, you deleted the thread. Now why did you delete this thread? Was it for reason 1 or reason 2?

You're assuming that Tim deleted the thread. You know what it means to assume.............

Tim.

I just checked his profile. He has deleted every post he's ever made but one. He probably would have deleted that one as well, but it resides in a locked thread and I don't think a post can be deleted from a locked thread.

~Sigh~

Dan, you're just too easy of a target.

What Tim said may lead you to the truth.

First of all, you guys chased Dan away a long time ago. And how can I be so sure you didn't delete that thread, when you claim to have deleted so many others. You know what they say about credibility.

Tim_C is many things. Among those things are him being crass, rude, and extremely self confident in his approach to Internet umpring forums. He's not an apologist for any of those things, nor is he dishonest. Like it or not, Tim says it like it is. He has plenty of credibility. Spend the $$ to subscribe to the paid side of this site and read his articles. You'll see he's the same man there as he is here.

Don't know about Mr Kaufman, but I also asked about it, and I'm still going. Appropos of nothing in the OP, I know, but I felt like putting it out there, as in: I'm not chickening out!

Of course, my looking forward to the trip is tempered with being scared to death, but that's another topic for another time.....
