Never thought about that solution to the problem...

Just some off-season humor for ya.

So many things wrong here:

No facemask on the batter's helmet.
Poor plate stance.
PU is giving a very poor baseball strike mechanic during the softball game.

Where did the PU get the cool stealth umpire plate hat?

Michael
MiLB, BS, NCAA, ASA, NSA, FED, PONY

I knew having a softball umpire on the board would come in handy someday.

Cute! Made me chuckle. :)

Ahhhh, softball. Where actual officiating takes a back seat to everything else.

Once you fill in in MiLB, no place to go but up.

Glad I could step up to the task.:)

Are you really this desparate to start something?
Oh. my God. You really are that desparate. You want to pick a fight over a signature that has MiLB and ASA in the same breath.

No. Not picking a fight, exposing a poser, as have several others.

I have never claimed to be a MiLB contracted umpire. In my signature I list the level of games and associations that I have umpired.

Just playing Tyler's Advocate here:

What if he started the signature with NCAA, and did not mention MiLB (the Holy Grail of all umpiring as we know it today)?

Would we want to verify exactly what percentage of D-1 games he has done? Is he a regular D-1, or just worked a few games?

How do we know he's a certified PONY umpire?

ASA indeed! Where's the proof?

Do some AMLU members who fill in for the big leaguers ever claim "major league experience" on their résumés? I would venture they do, even though they are still mere minor leaguers, just fill-ins. When Bob Davidson was demoted to AAA ball, didn't he still consider himself a major leaguer?

I'm just saying that Michael is listing the levels of baseball that he has worked, as he has stated. Now we can officially wrap up the case, as he is a poser no longer and it's merely part of his résumé.

And CO ump; it sounds more like you wanted to stir up something, since this thread was almost dead and gone when you responded. It was like so last week.

It could be a LL game. I don't think LL requires facemasks on batter's helmets for softball - but I wouldn't bet my last game fee on it.
