Any idea what's up with any of these guys? Any info on ETA's for returns to the field for any of them?

Well, Tim McClelland, Marty Foster, and Paul Schrieber are currently working the Sox/Sox series, as Tim McClelland threw out Francona the other night. He was the 3rd base ump, Schrieber was U2 and got shoved by McClelland when he butted in. Foster was working the plate, and Culbreth was at first base. See thread about "The HR that wasn't."

That's only four out of the giant list. Any other info anyone has to pass along?

Why does anyone care about this stuff in the first place?

Personally, I'd rather be out working a game then worrying whether Joe Schmoe is on vacation or not....just me though.

FYI. I'll be taking some vacation from 7/30 - 8/03.

When you go, don't forget your gear and uni's. You never know you might be able to pick up a game or two.

I'm working every day through Sunday, so I'm not available.

Of course, I'm in the Netherlands, so I probably couldn't get back before next Tuesday for a game.

I realize that it was a crew. I'm just surprised that you all appear to be taking this as a WOBW. It's not as if I'm trying to meet the President of the United States. Gee whiz, people.

I don't know what a WOBW is. I do know that most of us don't care where the MLB guys are, whether vacation or what. Sometimes I look at the box scores to see who worked what games. I don't get the high level of interest some have with this trivial stuff.

WOBW= Waste Of BandWidth.

And, imo, this thread is a prime example.

I concur wholeheartedly. Besides, why must someone know this information? Do we have an obsessive MLB Umpire stalker in our midst?

It appears we might be seeing Mike DiMuro and/or Bill Hohn back soon. They've been assigned to the last couple of crews working home games for the Iowa Cubs (AAA). I guess it's almost like a MLB rehab assignment. Has this ever happened before? It's pretty cool, either way, I think. I wonder if they wear PCL/IL or their regular MLB uniforms when they rehab?

To stay on topic, just a note that I am now working football so it may appear that I am on vacation from baseball. :cool:

It's only primarily by Internet and/or phone right now because of the fact that she lives in St. Louis, and, about a year ago, I had to move with my family to Vegas. I lived in St. Louis for two years to finish high school, in case you're curious how we met, and all that crap.
