Holding a runner on at Firstbase

Does the defensive player have to have both feet in fair territory when holding a runner at first at the high school level? and does that rule change when you get to major league level.

In FED, only one foot has to be in at least partially in fair territory.

In OBR, both feet must be completely in fair territory.

And in OBR it's generally not called unless a coach complains, at which point it's called strictly on both teams.

However, only a rulebook nazi novice OOO will enforce this without first receiving a complaint from the opposing coach.

very true...you will see this all the time in games...don't worry about it unless the other team says something...in fact, the PBUC manual mentions not enforcing it unless the other team says something...much bigger fish to fry
