More Fun this weekend
 

In addition to the defense requesting a balk as posted in my previous call afew other head scratcher from this weekend. Now it was the final games of the year prior to state tournament seed and tension is high but.........

On a swinging strike where batter tries but fails to hold up partner in C "yes he did" and strike mechanic, no out signaled for third strike in the dirt runner retired on throw to first. Offensive coach comes to plate and wants me to check with my partner???? "Coach I cant check a strike" explained several times coach threatens to blacklis me from games at school because of this call, cest la vie

On another game runner gets a hit, bat makes a strange sound as play is relaxed I see the bat is split from end to just above the tape. $350 of scrap aluminum that doesn't recycle well, so much for today carbon footprint :D
Defense HC comes out and complains there is too much pine tar on the bat.
Ok coach but the bat is broken and is now out of play
He wants to measure and an out ala GB.
Well Mr Martin there is too much pine tar as we examine the bat but thats not an out anymore. You'd think that I kicked his puppy at this point. Want to protest game from that point Top of 7 one out.
