mechanics question
 

r1 on first...stealing 2nd...called 3rd stike on batter...dropped ball by catcher...b/r runs to first...catcher makes throw to 2nd...safe...appeal to p/u on b/r...appeal to b/u (me)...call b/r out because 1st was occupied...upheld steal to 2nd...question, should i have called b/r out as he is running to 1st to help support p/u or handled it as we did...was my primary 2nd base...thanks

upholding the steal was correct...the PU should have called the BR out...not you...even on appeal...mechanics are changing...some say PU should be more proactive and emphatic...as to whether batter is out...or has become a runner...de nada
