Okay, the answer is that Honig's doesn't normally put anything on sale, as their tremendous customer service is built into their price, and as etn_ump pointed out, +POS has the discount built into their bad customer service.

I find that Honig's is very high priced, whether or not they have a Christmas sale. I've been buying from both Honig's and +POS for over 20 years now, so I know what's going on. Both companies have significantly lightened my wallet every year, and I have bought discounted items at Christmas time from each of them.
I was making a not-at-all funny joke at +POS's expense, since their customer service has gone to hell in a handbasket, and implying that any price Honig's charges is worth it because of their service. |

I love some of +POS's stuff. Their pants, long sleeved shirts, those plate brushes with the scraper on the other end, jackets, etc. I also love Honigs service. I get stuff on my doorstep the next freaking day, in most cases. Might I suggest a hostile takeover? |

I did, finally, get through to +POS. I wanted to get a couple of the jackets with the light blue stripes on them. The guy who answered the phone said they were out, and probably not availible for Christmas. I went with the gray stripes, and was told they'd ship out the next day, and I'd have them by Saturday.

The last time I ordered something from Plus POS, I placed the order by phone after being told that not only was the item in stock, it would go out the next day. After not receiving the item two weeks later I called again. This time I was told that there was some snafu and the item would go out that day. Another two weeks went by and when I called again I was told that the item was back ordered. I canceled the order, called Honigs and had the item in three days. Getting assurance that the item is in stock is no assurance that the item is in stock. Ordering from Plus POS is like playing Russian Roulette with a loaded revolver. You have to be very, very lucky to win. |

Hey all,
I called +POS today to check if they had something in stock before I ordered, and, of course, they didn't. I would have ordered the back ordered item, but I remember them taking 4 MONTHS to get my catalog to me! I would rather pay a little more and KNOW that I will get what I ordered sometime in the near future. LomUmp:cool: |
