mask strap

on your mask strap, do you guys ever cut off the excess that hangs from the side? Since i have a smaller head, i have to have it adjusted to the point that the side straps hang and look goofy. What can i do with out cutting them off?

Make sure they are threaded back through. That will prevent them from flipping up and making you look like you have antennaes.

I don't have a small head, and I still cut off excess.

That is the least of your problems, judging by your idiotic posts about chest protectors, shin guards, mask pads, and harnesses.

You guys must really underestimate me. Just about every thread i post in now or create becomes an "lets dump on Dan" thread.

LMan Sun Oct 22, 2006 05:33pm

Son, I don't think its humanly possible for us to underestimate you.....you can only go up from here.

And why do you think that is?

Reads responses. Just shakes head in a negative way. Moves on.

Well, I'm way too young to remember vaudeville the way you do, Garth. I do remember that gag from Hee-Haw, and I always got a kick out of Archie Campbell as the doctor, whacking the complaining patient on the particular ache or pain with a rolled-up newspaper.:)

What are you talking about?

Are you just being intentionally obtuse, or do you not understand the word, "touché?" When one makes a point, which I clearly did, then someone else replies in kind, the word that is used is touché. It is a French fencing term, commonly used in English conversation.

I'm not being obtuse, I don't follow your point about "proper use" in response to my post.

I don't think SDS noticed that your post was a link, and not a question.

mbyron Wed Oct 25, 2006 12:08pm

I think that he assumed the content of the link was directed at him, rather than simply being an amusing diversion connected to the word "touché."

But we all know what happens when you ASSume.

Yes, this was the case. I missed the fact that it was a link.

JJ Sat Oct 28, 2006 08:03am

I cut the excess off, then stitch the straps in place. That way they don't come loose or unraveled. I do the same thing with my shinguards and chest protector straps.
This WAS the topic of discussion, wasn't it?
