I have had that protector for 5 years, and it is still performing as good as new. I have used it in little league, high school, and college level. However, I do not use the bicep protectors because they hang out of my shirt sleeve. Overall, I have been very pleased with this chest protector.

Don't use the bicep plates.

Agree with the "don't use the bicep plates" comment. And you won't find better collar bone protection.

Yup. I use the same one, and also, do not use the bicep protectors. Has saved me much pain so far.

I never understood the biceps protectors on this model too. They look like they would just slide around and be a real pain in the butt. If they were so great, how come they don't put them on the Gold or Platinum models? I would cut those suckers off first thing.

They're actually velcro straps (on the shoulders) and are removable. No cutting required. I removed mine as well because they just don't look good.
