I was able to purchase an All-Star CPU28 for a good price. Used it all day today and loved it.

Thanks to all the posters who offered opinions and advice.

Anyone interested in purchasing a +POS BB204 "Ultra-Pro" in excellent shape and for a good price, let me know.

I have the Wilson MLU chest protector and it has been like body armour. I've taken 3 directly to the chest and haven't felt a thing after the fact- maybe a little red mark if anything. It's cheaper than the west vest platinum and offers almost the same protection.

It's a little big, so if you're a smaller guy, it might not feet as nicely on you, but it's still a good buy.

Note: Bicep guards are removable (which i do remove mine).

I owned a V-Sport at one time. I sold it this season to a young umpire
who was working high school ball with a ribbed Diamond protector. Although
the V-Sport has good protection, I don't feel it's nearly as protective as my
West Vest Gold. The biggest differences are the thickness of the padding,
and the length of your model.

have used west vest for about 6 years and have always been happy. However, since I have changed to the GD stance and stand more upright and as Tim instructed me, about 3 feet behind the catcher, I wanted alittle more protection in the abdomen area. Just bought the All-Star CPU28Pro. I will use it this Sat for our final baseball tourn. I hope that I like it. Bought it for $109 at bplowestprices.com

You got a great price on that CPU28. I thought I had done well.

I checked out bplowestprices.com, and they are indeed low price. Glad to have that link.

I use the All-American pro-vest. I love it. Been hit numerous times with it and have got into the habit of bending over and picking up the ball and tossing it back to the pitcher. 90% of the ball I do is at the semi-pro/college level.

I have been hit probably about 20 times in the year that I have had it and have never once even taken a step back to collect myself.
