Only a Few Spots Left for Mid-American Umpire Clinic

We only have a few spots remaining for the 2006 Mid-American Umpire Clinic, September 15-17 in Springfield, Missouri.

The Mid-American Umpire Clinic is designed for high school umpires who desire to move into the college baseball.

Our mission is to provide quality training to all umpires in order to promote uniformity and professionalism. Our goals are to encourage standardized umpiring mechanics, application of the strike zone, and handling situations.

While at the clinic, every student will umpire several innings of college level baseball and will receive honest written evaluations from our staff of professional and college umpires.

For the cost, you will not find a more informative, hands-on clinic anywhere.

For more information, to register, and make a secure payment please visit our website at www.midamericanumpireclinic.com

Excellent camp instructed by major league umpires. In Atlanta Ga in October.

which would you recommend? the international or southern? from the description it seems like the international is for the more experienced ump

The international focuses mostly on 3 man mechanics. I went to the Southern and didn't think it was not advanced. Plenty of cage work and good field and classroom instruction. Many of Harry's recent grads were sent there for "re-evaluation" before they were assigned to their leagues or D1 games.

The International (October) Camp focuses on the three man system during the dirt clinic part. The classroom instruction is in depth concerning the rules and their application. The Southern (February) Camp focuses on the 2 man system during the dirt clinic. You should consider when you are available (October or February) and either camp will benefit you. Both are taught by mostly the same people.
