What kind of mask do you use?

Me: Wilson Dynalite w/ Black Pads
All Star Black HSM

Mask: West Vest - Navy Lt. Weight w/gray doeskin pads.

Helmet: Mizuno Tsunami - Navy

One day, we'll be listing HSMs by brand, and lumping conventional masks into one "mask" category.

All-Star. How do I get my vote tallied? Oops, never mind.

After many years with a mask, I went to the helmet. I will never go back.

I refuse to refer to them as "HSM" or any other ridiculous initials.

Wilson "New View" with Wilson doeskin wraparound pads. I'm very satisfied with this combination.

Just bought the Diamond DFM. Really light weight but the pads are second rate, so I put on a pair of black amaras from my WV plus a sun visor, and man does that thing look cool!

Same exact set-up as Dave. I think this is the best mask I've ever had.

I only carry the two SUL masks in my equipment bag.

All equipment custom made by Mr. Carlucci, best protection I have ever had. Made to fit my large body. Currently Mr. Carlucci is is modifying my mask for an even better fit for 2007.

Why do some of you guys have so many masks?

Wilson Chrome Moliben "New View" --Black with tan pads -- Used with black based shirts.

+POS Single Bar -- Red with tan/navy pads -- Used with red shirt.

Wilson Dyna-Lite -- Royal with tan/royal pads -- I used to wear it with with a royal chest protector and a plate coat, now only with the powder blue (white/navy trim) shirt.

Wilson Dyna-Lite -- Gray with all gray pads -- Used with plate coat and Wilson Platimum chest protector.

Honig's Single Bar -- Navy with tan/red pads -- Used with navy based shirts other than red and powder blue (W/N).

+POS Zero Gravity -- Navy with tan pads -- No longer used. Dents too much. For some reason I still take it with me to all my games. I will not be doing that next year.

How 'bout Black with Black pads that match everything? You've got about $450 worth of masks kicking around in your bag/trunk.

Do you wear black ball bags with a navy shirt? Do you wear a black hat with a red shirt? Do you wear a black undershirt under a powder blue shirt?

Black does not match everything.

Our association requires black ball bags and black hats with everything. Oh, and we never wear red. Red is for east side whores and disco queens.

I see your point about matching the uniform. IMHO, you're making too much effort to be color coordinated. I think that if you wear a Black/Black mask, you're pretty safe.

In my area, we wear navy, polo blue, and black.

I would hate to have to own all of those uniforms. I think it's a bit much... JMO

did you see my zero gravity mask that one game? it was bad then, and i took a shot a few weeks later that destroyed one of the bars in front of my mouth. last shot that mask will ever see.

PMLEX is used as a backup mask since it is SLIGHTLY heavier. Considering getting a Navy setup and a Red setup to color coordinate.
