plate shoes and face mask
i'm looking for recommendations on masks and plate shoes.
i'm looking for high quality, light weight gear. i do college and HS ball. currently, i am using a wilson mask - ukn model - but it is not light weight. also using gerry davis patent leather shoes - good, but very heavy. thanks. |

Mask: Wilson Chrome Moliben, Honig's Single Bar, Wilson Dyna-Lite (in that order) Shoes: New Balance 450 (some hate the gray/white letter though), Spot-Bilt Low or High |

I use the Honig Single Bar, and have for about 5 years.
I also use the GD Patents, and can't complain about the weight. I used the old Honig's low cut, and the GD's are lighter than those. Other's consider the GD's "heavy", but I have nothing but the Honigs as a reference. I had a catcher step flush on top of my shoe yesterday and put a big cleat cut in my GD's. So, I am thinking of going with the New Balance. Unless there is a way to fix the cleat cut? Any suggestions. Bob P.
