Another high school season completed and 3 weeks of "down" time until summer ball starts. Looks like I will have to work on that privacy fence. 8-(

American Legion Baseball, in my area, is very low key and and low class.

Legion ball, summer Juco ball (called Red River league) and high school aged ball (Diamond league). Diamond league is the kids that, for the most part, will be on the JV and varsity next year. There is also MABL and MSBL

Where are you in the state? I'm originally from the peoria area and am currently at school at the U of I down here in Champaign.

Not too far from you, about 2 hours. I'm in Robinson. About an hour southeast of Charleston.

I may not work this summer at all.
Similar here. One more week of regular season, followed by league, district, regionals and state. Season over the first week of June.

AAA legion starts the first week of June here and is a pretty good level of ball. College coaches and former minor leaguers run the teams and do a good job of getting a high level of performance from the kids. Adult men start up next week. Generally they suck, but once in awhile they surprise.

Similar here. Legion ball, college players with wood bats, high schoolers who are not playing legion are playing Senior Babe Ruth, or Senior Tar Heel. Adults started in April, but they play mostly on Saturday and Sunday only.
