Babe Ruth game. Starting pitcher is moved to right field in 6th inning after pitching first five. Can the SP be brought back in to pitch in the seventh inning ?

Yes. Except for some Babe Ruth modifications (ie malicious contact at the plate, etc.), Babe Ruth uses OBR.

What has malicious contact to do with substitution rules?

Nothing. It was simply an example of a Babe Ruth addition to OBR rules. The point of my sentence, which you apparenlty missed while you were looking for some nit to pick, was that Babe Ruth plays OBR, thus a starting pitcher may return to the mound in a later inning, or same inning for that matter.
