Batting order: Abel, Baker, Charlie.

Abel is due up, but Baker bats. Baker grounds out so defense doesn't appeal. Abel bats next and singles. Defense now appeals BOOT.

Abel's out & Charlie's up next?

Charlie is OUT. Daniel is up next.

And Felix is on deck because Earl was traded to the Cubs.

6.07 The batter that was supposed to bat, is out.

Once Abel received a pitch, Charlie became the legal batter and is therefore out.
Poor Charlie.

Don't forget to pull Abel off first base.

What if they've already been through the order once in the Baker, Abel lineup? Doesn't this re-establish the lineup in this order and as long as they bat in this manner the rest of the game, there's no penalty?
