During a little league game this week, the catcher got hurt and I called time out. After the cathcher was replaced, my partner awarded the the only base runner, beside the batter runner, third base. He said that there was a rule that said if time out was called becase of an injury, the umpire could award the base runner the number of bases he thought, in his judgment, he would have reached if time had not been called.

I have never heard of this rule, can anybody tell me where it is. Thanks!

It's nowhere (except 9.01(c)). But, if you called time while play was in progress, I'd probably do the same.
