Mark, Jr., and I received Arbiter generated Reminder Emails on Fri., May 13th, and the games were still on our Arbiter Schedule as of that date. Sometime between then and the day of the DH the games disappeared from the Arbiter Schedule and the Arbiter Contracts also disappeared from Arbiter.

Why wouldn't you receive email notifications then?

Did you not receive a Game Change email notification from Arbiter? I always do when a partner/game time/game site gets changed.

Our association has been having issues with email notifications especially around changed games. From what I understand it may be system wide.

This is one situation where my OCD about checking Arbiter multiple times on game day, including right before I leave, would have paid off.

I'm a softball ump, but this is all the same stuff here.

Do you get paid by the school, or the assignor? All sports around here get administered by BOCES, which is a county wide purchasing co-op, they run the trades education, etc. They have an athletic coordinator's office who schedules games, schedules officials, etc. And all sports contracts are negotiated as one. VERY rarely do we have any problems, so when I had exactly this about the same time, I knew I was going to get paid. (we get a paysheet after every month that we sign and submit....and wait two weeks to get paid :p )

They took over the paying to forstall just kind of this thing, as I am assuming the schools have already paid into a fund. When I started many, many years ago, we got paid by individual schools - and THAT was a PITA......

As an assigned using Arbiter, there is a trick assigned (dishonest ones) can use. If they delete the game from Arbiter is completely disappears from everything. I had an assigned do this to me once.

I will never do this because it is completely wrong, but it is possible. Situations like this are the reason I never delete emails and print my Arbiter schedules monthly.
