Baseball is no more special than any other sport in this area. Coaches try their best to get someone to agree with them on the crew. If you know this, you handle it accordingly. But that does not stop them from trying. What a coach should or should not do does not change what they will try to do.

he either was or was not hindered. Whether it was by contact or by other means (ie just standing in the way and causing the baserunner to circumvent the fielder) is irrelevant. Mentioning the extent of the contact only confuses the matter.
