Derett Boyd's Death

I use to attend college with Derett and we were good friends that simply lost touch. This (internet) was the first I have heard of the car accident. Can someone please provide me with where this happened, in Israel or in Maryland, US? and was any one else injured?

Actually this is the website in which I learned of the accident. Therefore, someone is familiar with D. Boyd who played basketball for Elitzur Ashkelon (sp??) in Israel. Thanks for trying to respond for everyone.

kgetter, no offense was intended, but the previous post was simply stating that most of us on this discussion forum are unfamiliar with foreign basketball leagues and the players in them. I don't know your friend, and I would also doubt that any of our regular posters knew him. Sorry for your loss.

No need to be so defensive, kgetter. But I think it's pretty clear when after 4 days, no one has responded to your post, that most of us are not familiar with the young man. Searching the forum finds that the inital thread on this also received no responses. So, instead of asking those of us not familiar with the young man about him, why not simply email the poster who origianlly posted? Or is that too difficult?

I am sure he was a great individual, but considering that he was in Israel, I really would not have heard of him. Really do not know what else you would expect?

BTW, some of you out there might think this good natured banter is somewhat over the top, but you would be wrong. It's not good natured at all - JR & I really can't stand each other. Aint that right, ya crusty old b@stard.
