My Season Started with a spill!

Well our Upward Basketball season started today EARLY this morning and I had three older group games as Referee with rotating partners. Upward uses two half courts running width ways so we can have two games at once. Thats how the leaugue is set up. But the ball was starting to roll towards the other court and I went to grab well i tripped over my own two feet and slid for a good 6 feet on my back since i had windpants on. I got up took a bow and managed to laugh but boy did it hurt. I also felt like an idiot. I the ball went out of bounds and I awarded the ball to the wrong team - by the time i realized my mistake the other team had scored. I made probably an average 4 mistakes a game but then again I havn't called a game for an entire year.


The best was on a fast break in 4-6 boys - i somehow ended up between A1 and and A2 - A1 went to pass the ball the to A2 - I felt like an NFL umpire becuase I had to duck. Had I not noticed it I would have been laying on the ground with a horrible headache. Thanks for listening - I'm sure yall will be hearing from me alot in the next 6 weeks.
