There is a slim possibility that my family and I will be moving from New England to northern Virginia this summer. I'm curious as to how difficult it will be for me to continue officiating there. I'm not all that excited about beginning again as a JV official. Is it difficult to get games? Are assignors used, or will I have to schedule my own games?
If there are any officials out there from Virginia, would you drop me an email? If we make the move, I'll need contact information for IAABO membership, as well as HS and college (including junior college) assignors. Thanks for any info. Chuck |

Clarification
Just so nobody thinks I have too high an opinion of myself, I'm not asking about college assignors for the ACC, obviously. I mean D2 and D3 assignors and officials' organizations. Thanks.

Chuck: I am a member of Cardinal Basketball Officials Association (CBOA). We are the largest association in VA with about 325 officials. Many of our officials are also collegiate officials -- I am not. See our web page at http://www.cboa.org. This site will have all the information you need regarding transferring. If you want to contact me offline at [email protected], I will gladly provide any info you need. An alternative email addres is [email protected]. I don't know if my @home email will survive past midnight tonight because of a court ruling on @home's bankruptcy filing. All games are assigned by an assignor (1 for scholastic and 1 for rec)and you can work as many games as you want. Starting this season, we will work 3-person crews for all varsity games. Let me know what info I can furnish you.
