I had a small screw up the other night.

It was a great game, final was 37-36 home won.

In the 4th Q Home is shooting FT ( 2 ) on 2nd FT Visitor along the lane step away from the lane line about 3 ft. Rule says he has to have one foot near the line, he doesn't so I have a violation. Shooter already had the ball. this is the guy right next to the shooter.

Then the shooter violates going across the line before the ball hits the rim.

I thought the shooters violation trumped the first. I just read where I was wrong, I should have penalized both and gone to the AP arrow.

We gave the ball to visitors. In the end, visitors had the ball with 15 seconds left. They shot from just inside the 3 point line and missed.

Lesson learned.
