ASA/NYSSOBLUE Jon Miller, Joe Morgan not returning to 'Sunday Night Baseball' TV broadcast - ESPN Should there be a party? Now if we could only get rid of McCarver....
Rich GoodwillRef wroteBobby Valentine would be refreshing. I would've preferred him in the Brewers' dugout.
GoodwillRef Kevin Finnerty wrotePossibly just Jon & Orel. According to what I read Miller will not be on Sunday Night Baseball.
GoodwillRef RichMSN wroteI would've preferred him in the Brewers' dugout. Me too...but I do like him on ESPN also.
mbyron RichMSN wroteI would've preferred him in the Brewers' dugout. I would have preferred him in the Indians' dugout. Manny Acta? Really? I imagine they didn't want to pay Valentine. Well, we got what we paid for. 😠

Well, we got what we paid for. If you subscribe to SIRIUS radio, Manny Acta was a regular guest on Mad Dog Unleased (Chris Russo formerly of Mike and the Mad Dog on WFAN in NY) during the play-offs. IMO, he was a good analyst and if things do not work out with the Indians Acta could have a good career at ESPN. Pete Booth
Welpe Maybe because Joe Buck and Tim McCarver did such a great job in the post season this year they're going to to get the Sunday night baseball gig. 😮
ajjl22 I read that it will be Dan Shulman as play by play and Orel Hershiser in the booth and possibly Bobby V.

Jurassic Referee RichMSN wroteI would've preferred him in the Brewers' dugout. So would have the Cubs, Reds, Astros, Pirates and Cards. 😀
rookieblue Dan Shulman did the Sunday night radio broadcasts for ESPN, among other duties. He's always seemed a quite capable play-by-play man. Good riddance to Joe Morgan, who suffers from invincible ignorance.

Good riddance to Joe Morgan, who suffers from invincible ignorance. And the guys that replace them will not be much better. Not sure why folks get all up in arms over who calls the game anyway. I do not think there is much they can do for baseball anyway. There is a lot of idol time and not much the announcers can do to make the game more exciting the way the game is played today. Peace

UMP 64 There is only 1 that makes me puke, and that is "Know it all, done it all and seen it all" McCarver. Buck is OK at best, but one would thing the networks could do better than these two???🙂
