26 Year Gap BillyMac wroteMark Padgett: Do those X-Ray glasses really work? When I was a kid I always saw them advertised in the back of comic books. I remember ripping the advertisement page out of an Action Comics #1 (June 1938). The comic was about some guy who dressed up in tights, and wore a cape. I knew that it would never become popular, so I threw it out after I read it. The Onion gum worked. The black soap worked. The itching powder worked. The X-Ray glasses HAD to work. They were priced beyond my allowance, but if the other fine products came as advertised....

26 Year Gap BillyMac wrote99 Cent Things - Things You Never Knew Existed I knew most of them existed. The fake puke, which apparently must be commanding a steeper price, was the creme de la creme of this type of novelty.
InsideTheStripe DLH17 wroteI'd be interested in hearing feedback you get about the Droid. I've heard nothing about it in terms of running the Arbiter. I haven't been able to log into the Arbiter using the default browser on my Moto Droid. I can get in using Opera Mini 5 on the Droid and it works fine. I just wish I didn't have to install a third party browser only for this purpose. Maybe the 2.1 Android push that Verizon is pushing this week will alleviate my issue. We'll see.
Mark Padgett They were called "X-RAY SPECS". If you really want to still get all that stuff, try these guys. I've bought stuff from them for years. You can get on their catalog mailing list, too. It's really cool. Archie McPhee & Co. - Toys, Gifts & Novelties

I could get 20 packs of baseball cards for that!

Yeah. What kid wouldn't enjoy seeing a Johann Sebastian Bach Acton Figure under the tree on Christmas morning? Does he come with Kung Fu grip?
BillyMac Mark Padgett wrote Why would I want to look at "his" body under "his" clothes? I would definitely want to look at other stuff, and I'm not talking about tumors, or broken bones.
amusedofficial JRutledge wroteAnd who watches the Andy Griffith show? No one. 😀 Peace Clell Lavern Hobson,Jr., former manager of the Boston Red Sox and safety for the U. of Alabama is a big fan. Or was in his cocaine days.
JRutledge Mark Padgett wroteThen why is it still on in reruns? Here's one for you. A channel here in Portland still runs Perry Mason reruns M-F at noon. They've been doing this for something like 40 years (not kidding). Whenever anyone asks them when they're going to stop, their reply is, "when people stop watching it". I forgot, there are still people alive in their 60s. 😀 Peace
